a poem by Lorca

That which travels,
clouds itself.

The running water
can see no stars.

That which travels
forgets itself.

And that which halts itself
dreams.

"Running" by Federico Garcia Lorca

It reminds me to once in a while, stop running from all the things I hide in my little shell from.

Read the huntsman by Anton Chekhov. http://www.classicreader.com/book/389/1/ This Lorca poem reminds me of it. The story is about the whole idea of escapism through motion and fast paced selfish living, and the clarity and reality of stillness. I think this also ties in with your in-dependence idea.
